Front Runner water tanks vented cap

Anyone know of a replacement cap for a Front Runner water tank that is vented? I want to hook up a pump to the Front Runner tank and have concern that without a vent it will cause issues. I can crack the cap open when pumping, but the tank is in a tough spot to get to and don't want to bother with that if there is another solution.

Or is there an easy way to modify the cap to make it vented?

Have you considered drilling a hole in the cap and installing a bulkhead fitting type hose nipple with a hose to a high/clean location and a vent on it? You wouldn’t need a true “vent” other than k to keep bugs out, but they are easy to find for hoses in the 1/4-1/2” sizes.
