This looks really slick and something that I'm really interested in. Unfortunately it adds height to the tent, height that i cant afford or i won't fit in my garage.

I'm thinking of placing my rack rail and tent rail side by side, drilling a hole and putting 4-6 of these in. Rack will keep it form sliding front to back, pins will avoid side to side movement.

"eatSleepWoof", my initial thought to your reply was that you must have really skinny arms (and long too) to get under your FR rack. i then checked your build thread (really nice, well thought out install btw). Believe me, it's a PITA to remove from a roof mounted FR rack - no access. I ordered this QR the second I saw it.

Yeah....major PITA with a roof mounted tent. I would say it takes me at least 45 minutes to get mine mounted. Throw in some blood, skinned knuckles and scraped arms and you start to beg for an easier way.

Can you install locks or at least 1 lock. I couldn't tell from the video. Looked like just latches. Remember, easy on/off - easy to steal. I know, nothing is totally secure if someone wants it, but theft deterance would be well advised.

I read that one of the latches is "lockable with a TSA style cable lock".

This is handy if you installed all of the load bars on your slimline rack. I removed two on mine so I had plenty of access to remove the bolts on the tent mount brackets.

Been looking for a source for those locking t-handle pins. Thanks for the link!

Currently I use two clevis/hitch pins, two lockable hitch pins, some extruded aluminum angles and square tubing to mount my RTT to the rack on my Wrangler.

The front two pins are hard to lock in place with cotter pins due to hand/arm/rack interferences so those t-handle pins should work nicely.
