Well it has happened again this week, my speedo is stuck on 0. It got down pretty cold the other night with our 2 feet of snow. It has been stuck for 4 days now. Last year it happened and fixed itself pretty quickly. Anybody have this happen to them, how to fix it or prevent it.

in your '98 it's a computer driven affair so I'd have to say that either your vehicle speed sensor is froze up or the Speedo has some moisture (frozen) in it.. I would think it's the VSS. It's back on the left side of the T case sorta hidden behind the parking brake drum. chances are there is a short in the wiring due to the snowy conditions or it's frozen..

Just checked out your web site, impressive.

I really like the picture of you on the "About us" page.

Can I get those glasses with prescription lenses? :)

Thanks Keith I'll check it out. It sucks living in a small town with a overall 15 M.P.H. speed limit. The town cops always seem to get right behind me when the speedo doesn't work!!!

Those are Special glasses that show only the best line for an obstacle.. Unfortunately we sold out and I cant't seem to get any more (read: my Daughter, 3 at the time, got mad at me for wearing them so I had to give them back)

I try to support the Rover crowd with some nice products at good prices.. The site only covers some of what I do and we've always got some sort of special going on so if you have a need give us a call

Use your GPS in the meantime.

Most likely the VSS, which is in the t-case.

It got up to 37 degrees today and my speedo started to work again, must have been frozen. the next time this happens I will have my new GPS delivered!!!

You have water in the connector, just enough to push the connection apart when it freezes. Could also be corroded, those great Land Rover connectors are good for that.
