Bought Truck stock in April of 2013 with 158k miles on it. All modifications were done within the past two years of ownership. The truck was built for a reliable weekend camping and expedition rig. This truck has been on many Big Bear trails and explored Anza Borrego, Inyo Forest, and the San Bernardino mountains. I have since convinced my wife and two dogs to accompany me, so we are looking for a larger truck. Clean title in hand. Registered until 4/16.
I had 33x12.50r15 tires on this truck, and it cleared the fenders just fine.

Everything works in this car, Hot Heat, Cold A/C, power windows/locks/sunroof, heated seats. Hell, the cruise even works.
Side steps, mudflaps, and rear swaybar all removed, but is included with sale.
This truck is a beast off road. It is very capable for what it is. A solid front axle will do wonders.
With the front hubs locked, in 4 low, and rear locker on, this truck is a true 4x4, fully locked.

Please do not expect a cosmetically perfect truck. This truck was built for real off-road use, and it was used but not abused. I have highlighted the minor body damage/scratches in the photos. I am located in Pasadena, call or text 626-five three one-1022

So what's the deal? You put a tremendous amount of work and $$ into it and after 2 years yer going to something else? What doesn't it do that you want or need a vehicle to do? What are you going to next and just curious what benefits/improvements you hope to see with the next vehicle that you aren't getting with a Gen 2.5?

Thanks,

I finally was able to convince my wife to accompany me on camping trips. Coupled with our two dogs, and looking ahead at kids, I am looking for a bigger vehicle. I'd rather have my wife with me to enjoy the mild trails and camping experience rather than doing the harder trails alone.

This is why I bought the Montero, plenty of room for the dogs and kids, far more room than any Jeep we have owned. Is a Suburban next on your list?

Makes sense. What I did a few times was get my wife to drive the mild trails, something that had a few obstacles and lots of scenery but no fear of breaking anything. She didn't want to at first, but then did -- and loved it! I kept my mouth shut except to offer encouragement. That changed a lot of things. Now she looks forward to doing trails and doesn't really care about driving. Every once in a while I still like to get her to drive so she can get into it. If 'mom's' happy, the whole family is happy.
