For sale is a 2014 Little Guy 5' wide Rough Rider. It is my understanding that how this differs from a traditional 5' wide is that this has a heavier-duty axle with electric brakes and the entire undercarriage is protected with a steel (looks like 11ga) skid plate from front to rear. I bought it about 1 year ago, but I have started a new business that requires some temporary lifestyle changes. Alas, I would not be selling this little guy (pun intended!).
This particular model is no longer available (as best as I can tell) and at the time, was available in either 5' wide or 6' wide. I opted to search for a 5' wide because it's only slightly narrower overall than my 4Runner's rearview mirror to rearview mirror measurement. If the 4Runner can fit, so can the trailer. Also, the 5' wide interior width is the same as that of a queen mattress. The only options I've seen on other Little Guys that this doesn't have are some storage cubbies in the floor underneath the mattress and a roof rack. I don't kayak so I didn't feel the need to add one, though it would have been nice to have with an awning.
It is in excellent condition with the only real indication that it it anything but new are some gravel dings on the leading edge of the trailer frame and aluminum fenders. If it bothered someone, I imagine a DA with some fine grit sanding pad and some Mother's would get them looking spiffy. That, or coating with bedliner material.
Installed after leaving factory:
Odyssey 34/78-PC1500 12v/68AH dry battery
Battery box has auxiliary connection for solar panels
LED porch lights on both sides
LED galley light
Grab handles by each door
Switch panel with voltmeter and 12V charging receptacles in galley
CO detector inside of cabin
8" memory foam mattress (slept on twice)
iPad mount inside of cabin
Jerry can racks on each fender
Additional removable storage shelves in cabin
Installed from the factory:
Air conditioner-it's a modified window unit that sits on the parcel tray in front of the cabin and connects supply/return air to the cabin via flexible aluminum duct with sewer hose connectors. This unit also has a wireless remote control so you can control from inside of the cabin. I believe this is a 5000BTU unit, so if memory serves, I figured a 3000W generator would be needed (I used AC once with shore power).
Superfan vent fan (when door screens are open, this baby can create a wind tunnel inside! Absolutely comfortable for sleeping.
Stargazer window (horizontal window on front of cabin was optional)
Windows all have pull down black-out shades
Reading lamps on cabin ceiling, each independently switched
Doors on both sides, each has screened window, latch lock and deadbolt
Smoke detector
3500lb Dexter axle with electric brakes
LT235/75 15 5-ply tires in excellent condition
Aluminum 5-lug wheels
Sink/water pump/water tank (approx 5 gallons)
2 stabilizing jacks in the rear
2" trailer hitch with 125lb capacity (for bike rack)
Upgraded tongue jack
Adjustable height hitch-allows you to adjust it vertically in case you don't have a drop hitch or you tow it with different vehicles. Had a pintle loop attachment, but lost by original owner.
I imagine this doesn't weigh more than maybe 1500lbs soaking wet. I can move it around in my garage with ease, and my 4Runner (also for sale by the way-ad later) pulls it without the slightest effort. I had a few plans to upgrade some things here. Primarily, I was wanting to change the solid axle to Timbren lifted axle-less suspension, primarily to change lug pattern to match 4Runner and to get more clearance.
I'm asking $9500.00. I have the title in hand. If someone is interested in a package deal, we may be able to work something out. He's clean and the battery is charged. Load your gear and go!
4Runner is a 2018 TRD Offroad Premium, 43,000 miles (I'm a traveling salesman), has TRD Pro Bilstein lift installed by Toyota, TRD Sema wheels and Nitto Terra Grapplers. I'm not quite ready to detail this out, but if interested we can discuss offline. Still researching value, but I think fair market value is between $35-37, so I'll start by asking $36K. Toyota warranty good until 150,000 miles and you'll get 4 or 5 oil changes since I haven't used them yet. 4Runner has a payoff with Southeast Toyota Finance.
Located in Carrollton, GA. Thanks for looking! I can send more pics if needed - post limit was 10.
