It’s with a bit of a heavy heart( I would like to see her go to a good home) that I’m selling my Tdi Disco. It’s been a great daily driver for the last 3 years but I’m starting another truck build with my son and need the extra space. At least that what my wife keeps telling me:) Listing of everything that has been done is below. It’s located in Nashville TN. I have been through emissions twice since the conversion and tested as a diesel and passed w/o issues. I have attached two sets of pictures links. First is from the conversion and right after it was painted. The second set was taken a week ago. I still have to install the new shocks, and rear wiper motor. Hope to have that done this week. I get asked all the time why it was painted this color. I found this Camel trophy pictures and just loved the color on the disco. See below. If you have any questions please email.

Asking $17,500.00

Roverx,

I was wondering what kind of MPG's you get with this rig? Also I was wondering how big the back area is when the seat is folded down, (aka) can you sleep back there if you are 6ft. Also anyway you could put a picture up with the back seat folded down? Thanks, Tyler

Tyler: I am a friend of Roverx. He is out of pocket yesterday, today and possibly tomorrow with some emergency dental surgery.
He will get back to you.
I am familiar with this truck and it is a rare bird.
You would most likely have to have a platform (made or built yourself) to sleep on that lifted you over the folded seats. A popular remedy is to have a set of drawers built to sit in the rear cargo area that has a fold over second top that allows you to flip it back over the rear seats and then a mattress pad or air mattress on top.
Just a few things to ponder.

Scott, hope you are recovering well from your dental nightmare. You've got pms and interest here.

If D and D speak highly of your truck, that speaks volumes.

Hi Tyler,

Sorry for the slow response. I cracked a tooth two weeks ago and was able to squeeze in for surgery on Thursday UGH! I'm also in the process of fitting a New larger Vintage Air AC system to my Tdi hybrid and had a chance on Saturday to fit in a little wrench time.

I average 24mpg. I have never gotten worse than about 19-20 mpg and never better than 27mpg on a long 55 - 60 mph flat highway run. I actually own all diesel vehicles and have had a 300 tdi as a daily driver for the past 8 1/2 years with a total of just over 125K total miles. Mileage is always pretty consistence. I have notices that typically fluctuations drops are due to crap diesel. I try and be fairly picky where I fill up.

As for space in the rear, Dendy is correct. You can either remove the rear seats or build a platform. I have seen people swap the rear set mounting bolt for a clevis pin for quick and easy removal. I just took a quick measurement and you would have just over 6' to the back of the front seats and you can move them forward as well for more space. The space between the seats is also very large to extend even further into the front seating section. If you PM me an email address I can take a few pictures and send them later today. I will pm you my cell number. Feel free to give a shout with specific questions.

If you are looking for a great travel expo truck it is a perfect contender. It has all the up sides of a land rover with none of the draw backs IMHO. This truck has been a daily commuter for the past year with either my wife or myself. Let me know of you want any specific pic.
Cheers
