FS: AcuTemp AX56L (Hemacool) Mobile Refrigerator/Freezer

I noticed that there has been some discussion about this item before, and thought some of you might be interested. For sale is the AcuTemp (formerly Hemacool) AX56L Mobile Refrigerator / Freezer. This item is useful for off-road and camping trips as well as in the field for the transportation of biologics, vaccines, and pharmaceuticals. This is a used unit in good, working condition. I believe the unit can run unplugged for about a weekend, but I am not completely sure.

The item is in West Lebanon, NH but we can discuss shipping methods as needed. I would like to sell it for $700, as it retails for much higher. I have more than one unit available, including a handful of units that presumably require new batteries, and I would be willing to sell those for a lower price. Sorry for the blur. My phone was dead -- I'll post some better pictures of the inside, the display, etc. in the next day or two.


As for some more details about the units, they were used by a biotech company (which I am working for) to maintain temperature of our final product at remote locations. We stopped using these a couple years ago and are hoping to sell them to recoup some of the cost.

Replacement batteries are easy to find. The batteries currently inside are PowerSonic PSH-12180-NB. A unit requires two batteries. You can find this battery or an alternative online/in stores, and they go for somewhere around $50 or $55.
