This is a brand new notebook PC. Here are it's stats:

Black
Windows XP
512MB RAM
8.9" LED LCD
WiFi 802.11 b/g
Intel CPU
0.3 Mpixel Camera built in
10/100 Ethernet
8 GB Solid State Drive

My wife bought this for our daughter, but she didn't realize it had solid state memory (8GB) and not a disk drive. For my daughter's needs, this won't work (pictures, music, video). Unfortunately, she opened the packaging, so we can't return it. We bought another with a true disk drive. It was only used for 2 days; it's got all the original packaging and documentation.

This will work great for a email/surfing machine, or if you want a computer for your truck (connect up a GPS through a USB port, and away you go).

We paid $250 for this. I'm only looking to recoup most of the cost: $200 + shipping.

would it be dumb of me to ask why a solid state wont work for your daughters needs? is it just a matter of 8gig being too small rather than the solid state memory itself?

It was too small of a HD. Not the fact that it was solid state. Went with a conventional HD ~ 160GB.
