I am selling my 2001 4runner SR5 4x4, silver, 170,000miles. The reason I am selling is because I got this about a year and a half ago to serve as my DD, soon after I got a company vehicle and I've only put 5000 miles on the 4runner since I got it. Figure someone else could make better use of this super clean vehicle.
I do not have much maintenance records on it except what I have done, which is the following:
Changed all fluids to synthetic and had dealer do a tranny flush.
Changed spark plugs, cleaned MAF and throttle body.
Replaced front rotors and pads with OEM.
Replaced stock head unit with an Alpine IDA-X303, which is an iphone/ipod compatible deck.
The vehicle seems to have been well taken care of, all fluids were very clean and OEM parts seemed to have been used.
The stock suspension was shot so I decided to put on the Sonoran Steel 1.2 lift just in case I ever wanted to wheel it. So it does have the rake since the front is lifted 3" and the back about 4". But this lift is suppose to be the best for these trucks and are very capable offroad from what I hear.
I must mention it has never been in the dirt no evidence on the under carriage or the body. The body is incredibly in good shape for its age, no scratches or dings of any kind.
The truck came with after market 16" alloy wheels, which look pretty good and stock size 265 tires which have about 30% left.
All the electronics work perfectly, even the automatic antenna goes up and down everytime.
In my opinion this is one of the most sought out models, as it has the hood scoop, the two tone seats (I personally hate the leather seats), it does have the center diff lock, which is not as good as a rear diff but still functional. Also comes with tow package.
I am located in San diego and asking $8500 OBO
I looked a long time for a 4runner this clean and know I will regret selling it but it does me no good sitting parked most of the time.
