I've got a Honda EU1000i generator for sale. I have the original invoice from PO and he used it only for 4 hours. I used it an additional ~10 hours to power my tire warmers. It's an excellent working condition. Oil was changed once. Includes manual and original paperwork.

This generator is very quiet and VERY lightweight and perfect for expedition or camping use. These typically retail for $800+ typically.

Located in Phoenix, AZ. $500 obo. PM for more info.

These are awesome little machines. Super quiet! If I hadn't just bought the fridge we would be talking.

From what I've seen, you need the EU2000i or similar to power an A/C unit. If you have a REALLY small unit though you could check the specs and see if a 1000 watt generator would suffice. From what I remember it is the startup load that requires the larger generator.

i don't think it can power an a/c unit. I know a buddy of mine uses a big 4500 watt generator on his 18' weekend warrior. You'd have to check your specs in the manual.

Will that power an A/C unit on a 20' travel trailer?

Not sure how bigthe A/C unit is.

My 23' camper trailer is a 13000btu unit, and even a Honda EC2000i would not start it.

Yes there is no way either will work, To power a A/C unit. I rented a Aliner that haqd A/C my Dad's 2000w Honda would run it but they use a glorified small window A/C unit. Most production roof A/C units will require a 3500w minimum. Most self contained campers use a 4500-6500w unit to cover the A/C and other power usage.

This was a good deal on the 1000w.

I researched this issue very thoroughly several years ago. A typical roof top AC unit draws at least 9-10 amps and when running and much more upon initial start up. Some people have been able to start up and run a low power unit on a 2000 watt generator and I ended up using a Yamaha 3000efi to power up and run a Dometic unit I had on my previous camper. The Honda 1000 will simply not power any type of typical roof top AC unit. For mild battery charging and running of small items, this unit will be fine, but that's it. I actually have a propane/gas Yamaha 1000 that should be here next week that I will be using for precisely that reason when the sun is not shining.

Great little generators, but remember what you are trying to do.

Alright, this is going up for sale again for sure now. Ireland had first dibs on it originally, if he doesn't want it I've got somebody else on the board asking about it. Here's a pic.
