FS: MOAB Fort XL Overland Camper Trailer - Ashland, Oregon - $13,750 OBRO

**Why I love this trailer: The MOAB Fort XL is super rugged and durable, and at the same time offers a range of simple comforts and amenities for you while out and about. It's no-nonsense and just what you need for an enjoyable time at an established campground, boondocking, or far off-grid. In my opinion it offers far more than just about all the boxes on wheels for sale on the market today, and while it may look like many of them, this one distinguishes itself with its build quality (made in USA) and features.

It's an ultralight expedition trailer that can be towed by most vehicles (dry weight is ~1700lbs); in stock form it has 49.7 cubic feet of storage capacity (the optional cargo carrier I added under the tent adds another 15 cubic feet), which has proved more than ample for four travelers. It makes for a fantastic basecamp, with shower/hot water, hideaway cooking/prep surfaces beside the galley kitchen (on drawer slides for bearproof security), plenty of power to run your water pump, lights, and fridge, comes with solar for juicing up quick, has electrical lined to the tent if you want to charge/watch/read while up top, has quality inverter and Noco charger installed in the tongue box, and is topped off with a super roomy, very well made like-new iKamper X-Cover 2.0 RTT (~King bed). If not for our family growing beyond the trailer's capacity, we'd be keeping it for a long time to come. It has been meticulously maintained by its first owner (I purchased off ExPed Portal from a service member who was moving overseas) and then by me. The wheel bearings were re-packed this year and the water system is regularly flushed and sanitized. Battery and power system are in good health. It’s burley and low-maintenance and doesn’t need much else!

While loads of companies and products flooded the market as a result of the overland craze and then during COVID, Bivouac Camping Trailers/MOAB (Mother of All Bivouacs, based in Arizona) existed long before and remain a strong, small fabricator and shop. Even though I didn't purchase my trailer new from MOAB, I was given contact info for MOAB's owner/executive and his two right hand guys by the original owner of the trailer and I've been in touch several times to inquire about parts and for insight on best design of my modifications (adding 180 awning, upgrading plumbing). Rick and co. were responsive and unhesitatingly helpful. If you look through their website, they explicitly state they want their trailers operating and being enjoyed for years to come and will work with any issues that arise to ensure they are resolved adequately. This is not common in the age of cheap boxes on wheels being churned out and sold for high dollar. This is not a fast-food trailer, it's thoughtfully designed, well built, and has been maintained to hold up to use and time. While not brand spanking new, the trailer being a 2019, pre-COVID model should offer assurance it wasn't a rush-built, cheap, trendy product. Every one of the trailers produced by MOAB is custom-built to spec.

Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions. I'm glad send more pics, do a walkaround video chat with you, and honestly chat with you about the trailer. I know it inside and out.

Bump because my pregnant wife really doesn’t want to climb the ladder any longer. This also means I’m willing to make a deal…
