FS: Optimus 80 camp stove

Old school Optimus 80 camp stove. Includes cleaning needle. Well used in the 70s and 80s, has been sitting since. Discovered these are going for $50 or so, plus $15-20 shipping, on ebay. I'm the only owner it has ever had.

What type of fuel does it use? And....does it work?
I just bought an optimus hiker 2 plus as a back up...love that it is multi-fuel

uses white gas and although I haven't fired it up, I have no doubt it will work (I'll fire it up tonight to be sure).

Great little stoves, same or similar to the Svea 123, the classic backpacker's stove.

Did you ever sell this? I inherited one of these Optimus 80 stoves and a Svea 123. Just curious what they are all about.
