Kind of an interesting note (Chris TSB hi-jack)

A somewhat common problem w/ the fords is the gas gauge sender going bad giving you erratic, false, or no reading on the gauge. (Mine read 1/4 higher than actual, as I found out about a week after buying it. Good thing I was within walking distance of home)
Since moving, I've started running B100 and after two tankfuls my gauge is starting to read correctly. Must've cleaned something off.

My Jeep gets 12 mpg in 4-lo and can get as high as 26 mpg on rural roads at high altitude.
I can't begin to understand why Chrysler fit the thing with only an 18.6 gallon tank... ...there have been a couple of sweaty moments but we haven't had to push yet. We found fuel at a logging station in Canada and at a general store in Colorado in the nick of time.
I'd really like a larger tank; it would be difficult for me to carry cans in the Jeep. I have two 20L cans on the Conqueror though --- which are necessary because it gives me a top mpg of 16...

I'd really like a unimog someday...
