Fuel Tank Issue

I've been having the same exact issue(s) with my 03 Limited. I've done the capacitor re-soldering trick and the guage went back to working for a few drives, and then it went back to wonky behaviour. The center cluster range read-out seems to work fairly reliably. I replaced the fuel level sender in the tank as well.

I also have the issue of gas station fill-ups cutting out too soon. I haven't yet undertaken an inspection of the evap canister and solenoid, but that's where I'm going next. I'll be very curious to hear your progress on resolving this. I'll update mine here as well.

I agree on checking evap plumbing, solenoids and canister. I believe the air in your tank that is displaced as the gas goes in is supposed to be forced into the charcoal can when you add gas. The pumps are very sensitive to back pressure so they will shut off when full. I've never experienced this problem but I'd like to see what the fix ends up being.

Interesting. I'll look at the FSM when I get my computer back working and see what I can find.

Bump this.
I'm having a similar issue. No gauge wonkyness but the tank won't fill. Backs up and shuts the pump off immediately . I have to trickle gas in. Any station and the angle doesn't help.
Bump again (I love resurrecting an old thread), I'm having the same problem where my 03' LTD isn't taking fuel all of the sudden. KyleT did you get this figured out?
