Looking good. What are you going to use for decking on it? Diamond plate? Wood?
We used a few hundred meters doing our interior, its brilliant stuff. Check with 3M for the best variant to use for your specific application + they'll be able to tell you the best prep method too.
Thanks for the 3M tip. I have been in contact with 3M already and they have been quite helpful. I rived the diamond plate in the photo and it took hours. Lots of layout and deburing. In the end the tape may be the best choice. We used a few hundred meters doing our interior, its brilliant stuff. I am really surprised how may variants of tape they make…crazy.Heh, I was going to respond but realized you said what I was going to. 3M = good stuff, but make sure you use the right stuff for your needs. VHB is a family of products, there are a lot of variants.
(For repairs I carry VHB, butyl tape, and eternabond.)
VHB tape does its job well. Make sure you have the panels aligned the way you want them, once attached there's no wiggle room to reposition. Smaller panels are easier to work with.
My images have never rotated…..cant answer your question.View attachment 309157
I used 3M VHB tape to secure aluminum panels to the inside of my van. Works great!
Your van looks great!
Can any one explain why images are rotated when posted?

May I ask which 3M VHB tape did you use? ATM I am deciding between 3M™ VHB™ Tape #4910 or #4941. The difference I can see is #4910 is clear and the latter one is grey or there is more?
