Coming from Rochester, I'd want to look closely at the underside of that Ebay truck for rust. You can see the salt stains on the clutch pedal and floor in the pictures.

For a '98 that seems crazy. Selling used 'equipment'....... towing, cranes, service bodies, boxes, is tough, and never brings the bucks you expect.

For reference I got my 2002 FG with a 14' Marathon box and lift gate, 59,000 miles, all in mint condition for under $11K. Ya, a steal, but if you keep looking they will come up, especially in your area (mine was from Colorado).

The one in Groton is a good price and the frame doesn't look rusty in the pictures. It'd be a bouncy ride home with nothing on the back.

I contacted the guys out of Groton a month ago or so... The truck has been sitting for awhile, but was used as a plow/dump truck from what I remember them telling me. They sandblasted and repainted the frame, but I saw some of the images more recent, and looks like its got rust creeping through again, I'd imagine its a bit worse than one would think! I'll post em if I can dig them out of my email!

I have a buddy with one of these...he's looking for another b/c his frame completely rotted out in under 4 years. If that one has rust on the frame, I'd look long and hard at it before buying. They seem to rot under the cab worse than anywhere else...
