FWC slide out bed

I'm looking to build a slide out bed similar to the FWC bed in my hard side camper. Just wondering if anyone has pictures of the bed without the mattress? Trying to figure out if the step from the plywood will be noticed when on the bed. Also is there some sort of sliders under the plywood? It it simply a piece of 3/4 ish plywood or is it ribbed beneath to add support? Is it solid enough that two adults could sit on the extension without worries of it failing?

Any info anyone can provide would be great.

Since no one is replying, I'll add my 0.02. I don't have an FWC and haven't actually checked a slideout bed in person either so take this for what it is.

As far as I can tell, its literally just a piece of 3/4"ish plywood with a piece of pine or oak on the back of it. There are no other sliders under the plywood for when it slides out. I believe there is another piece of wood on the front wall that supports the plywood when pulled out. Of course there are the supports on the sides of the camper also. When you pull the extension out to use it, the bed is completly flat. I believe the front edge of the extension as well as the rear edge of the cabover floor are beveled/angled so that as you push the extension in, it naturally wants to ramp up and over the cabover floor. The floor is not flat with the extension in.

This is what I've been able to ascertain from pics and videos I've seen while I research a possible future build. Hopefully an owner will chime in soon to correct any assumptions I have made.

Watching this thread, I'd like to retro-fit a sliding bed to my 80s FWC Fleet if it's not too much hassle.
