I used a scanstrut on my Northstar. It has worked flawlessly for a couple years and throughout Sierra winters.

BTW, most quality panels have an impact rating for large hailstorms if your worried about a pinecone cracking the panel

Say, what are those mounting brackets you gots there? I like those and need some!
 
Time to revive this thread! I will second the question of where can those adjustable brackets be found? I’ve been searching with no luck.

I have used 2 sets of these. One on a SoCal Teardrop trailer and another on a home RV battery charging setup. All aluminum, very light and very strong. They allow variable angle tilting of the panel as well as flat.
