That's what they told me when I tried to order some Toyo Open Country MTs in a 255/85-16 size....

I wish the Cooper STTs came in that size; I don't feel as much love about the BFG KM2s.

Any other ideas?

I know that I'd take endless ribbing but, they've got Fierce Attitude MTs on sale down the street for $159 each in a 285/75-16. They're essentially the same as the Duratracs except for the silly name and barbed wire embossing...

What the heck, they look good to me. If we cared what people thought, we wouldn't drive what we drive anyway. :costumed-smiley-007

What the mileage warrenty on them ?
I couldn't get the BFG A/T's I wanted when I went to America's, so I am trying their Pathfinder A/T's... so far I like them, but haven't had the opportunity to see how they perform off road yet..

Funny you should be looking at the Toyo M/T's. I just got myself a set a few days ago in 255/85R16. I really like them alot. I guess I lucked out. My friend at Les Schwab said they don't carry many in that size at all.

I had the Duratracs in 285 and I just didn't like that wide of a tire. The 255's look great on my truck, in my humble opinion.

The 255 Toyos and the 285 Duratracs weigh in about the same. The Toyos really make my steering react quicker, I guess because they are not as wide. Not much noise at all, but you can feel the lugs when coming to a stop. The Toyos are taller also. I measured the difference, but of course I did not write it down, and now I forgot. I did drop about 200 rpm at 60 mph with the Toyos as opposed to the Duratracs. I have 4.56's.

I have to get some pictures up. I haven't even taken any yet. Have to wash the truck first!

The KM2s in 255/85-16 are available and I'm leaning toward them; at 54 pounds, they're the lightweight winner.
The 285/75-16 MTR/kevlars that I have now are 64 pounds each.
The Fierce Attitudes in 285/75-16 should weigh the same as Duratracs --- less than the MTRs. I just wish they didn't have a barbed wire pattern on the sidewall that screamed "monster truck". It really is a decent tire in a high school package.

The Mickey Ts and D!ck Cs are usually close enough in performance to Cooper STTs that I don't look; I can get the Coopers for $181 and that beats the boutique brands.
I emailed Cooper and begged them to make the STT in the 255 width.
