Garmin Oregon Hard Case

I carry my GPS in my pocket when I hike and am often butt dialing, so to speak, and changing settings, or resetting, or losing waypoints, or whatever. The worst was when I butt dialed the language to Turkish, or some such, and couldn't figure out how to get it back to English since the settings menus were now in Turkish. Arrrg.

I'm looking for a hardcase that is not the size of a brick. Is anyone aware of one? I know I can lock the screen so I don't inadvertently change things, but that is kind of annoying since I can not zoom or move around on the screen etc until I unlock. Then I have to remember to relock. And so on.

Thanks.

I've got an Oregon and have never seen anything specific to it. I've used a small digital camera case for mine. Pelican makes some small hard cases it can fit in, but you need to wrap it in something, and that just seemed like too much for me.

dont know what Oregon you have but a hard case that COVERS your screen (which is your real problem) takes a nice GPS that fits well into jean pockets and makes it dont fit. the solution to your problem is to LOCK the screen. depends on which oregon you have, but basically you you tap the side button (600+ models you can configured one of click, double click or hold one of two buttons) Garmin Lock Screen is your friend!!!!
