I have a garmin 60c. What are the units spouse to be? Right now it is on :
Position Format - hdddomm'ss.s"
Map Datum - NAD27 Canada
This is how it came to me but the I think the guy that had it before me changed them.
I am located in Central Alberta, Canada but want to use the most common form unit.
Thank You

they are easy enough to change under the settings menu, just pick what you want to use

They can be whatever you want, but the WGS84 Datum is the standard for GPS...Whoever had it probably had changed it to reflect the (a?) topographic map he was using....while the differences are usually quite small they can (theoretically) grow to a horizontal distance error of a couple hundred meters.

Position format, of course, is the format that the lat/long will display in. It's set to show something like N45degrees, 34 minutes, 22.2 seconds, which is sufficient, I guess.

Thank you that's what I needed to know. I just use it to track the trails and make some points of interest.
