Gas strut mounting position advice needed

Just picked up a pair of 250# springs for the lid. Yeah I know...I still haven't mounted any struts. lol I should have them installed this weekend if I can come up with the proper 13mm mounting plates. Ugh, this is taking way too long.

Any good Victoria BC or Vancouver based shops with this stuff in stock??
