Bought a new cj5 with a v8 in 1972, damn near killed myself. In 1990
I built a 66 cj5 ,kept the stock v6 Buick, great motor, lived ns Tahoe
Was a regular in the Rubicon..fun times

Haven't really put the wj to a test yet.
Just got drawn for elk in NM,
going for an early scout this weekend.
Should be fun.

That's another difference between the european version of the WJ- it is named WG (because it was built in a city named Graz in austria, not Jefferson) and the second major difference is that the body is completley zinc plated. They simply do not rust. (Of course the axle components do rust the same as the WJ)
WG's are easy to identify- they don't have an external antenna...

I wonder if anyone has tried importing one yet. The Mercedes engine + better body would be fantastic, and we're coming up on the 25 yr mark...
