gen 1 gen 2 rear axe upgrade questions

post number three in this thread, has a link by toasty that will give you the down low.

as i remember it from reading his post,, if you (and your post is a bit confusing) swap in the 95 axle the flanges will marry up 91 drive shaft to 95 rear axle flange.

in my case the 94 axle which i have will no swap into my 91 ls. The only odd year for such a probleem. just like my fandangle rubicon t case . the only year that dont match up is 2012, which is what i have....sigh.

further note on the rubicon case. toasty was right about the silly " drive joints" they freeze up and shatter cases. its all over the jeep forums. got the guys there pulling hair to see a 1500 dollar repair, if they can get the case halves. the joint freezes , jumpropes the drive shaft, tears the case right outta the jeep.
the other major issue is chain stretch. the solution is , of course, a borg warner chain. not the silly NV chain which streches and shatters cases.

turbos and t cases- BW all the way. the very best t case -a bw 4407. but too dang big for a montee.

lastly how is life in sparks? i worked the summer on the humboldt pushing motor grader. loved every minute of it.

second lastly. i am willing to trade my 94 air locker for a later 9 inch rear axle posi-locker if any soul would like to. im more after the brake upgrade than i am the traction. the posi i have has been exceptional.

Thx round n back! Sorry if the post was confusing, I guess I should have asked if the transfer case splines are the same in a manual or an auto. I have both the 95 axle and drive shaft, I just wanted to have everything in place when I do the swap.

Sparks is good, been a bit cooler this weekend. It won't be long now until weather warms up and the usual event begin to happen around here.
