gen 1 to gen 2 front suspension upgrade commences. questions.

im gathering my energies together to rebuild a gen 2 suspension then when done slide it under the gen 1 .
i'm going to try those special bushings on ADD site, if my new credit card would get here soon please., i could get things purchased and get going.
all hard parts will be mitsu factory stuff down to the rotors

here are questions:
bushing in the frame section- how do u guys remove them?
are you putting new key on your torsion bars when u put new bars in?
is there a good measurement spec, someone has handy in their head for setting ride height assuming i want factory spec?

thank you all.

nother question: , did someone say the gen 2 steering box is a better box over the gen 1?
where are u getting seal kits for a rebuild?

Toasty

Looking for that thing i just had in my hand...
I remove the frame side bushing with a C clamp and a short section of tube with a plate on it by pressing the bushing into the tube. I run the old keys but we have no rust here, there is a line that tells you where to plug in the torsion bar into the anchor and key. The measurement for ride height I don't know but I run them close to 0 degrees or maybe +some on the CV angle for a more level ride height. Stock is really high in the rear.

I've never rebuilt a steering gear but if you swap the gear make sure you swap the Idler to match, are you planning to run the Gen 2 brakes?

I got a set of
ironman torsion bars
for this rig. 258 dollars.
is there any experience with this brand of 4x4 suspension product?
Its aussie and the company is not a huge conglomerate like some.
opinions, here say, gossip or outright lies about this brand gladly accepted.
