I had a line on a local 98 with 180k, but a one owner and had all maintenance records including timing replacement. He was asking $3500. I had cash in hand and the trailer hooked up but my little girl had to stay home sick so I had to move my time to meet him to later in the day. 30 mins before we are to meet he texts me to tell me his brother wants it and it was no longer for sale. Moral of the story. When you find one, be ready to buy it.
I test drive it on a tues, waited till thurs for him to get one piece of info and was gonna buy on Friday. Should've handed him cash on Tuesday and take it home.
My seller has been really cool about everything, I gave him a deposit a week after driving it and brought him the balance 2 weeks after that. I have the title but it's still parked in his driveway until I sell my Jeep. I have the new TPS on its way here so I can replace it before even driving it home.
