Hey y'all. Picked up a fairly clean Gen 2 for real cheap from the auction cuz everyone was scared of the lifter noise of the 6g72. Replaced the lash adjusters and all is good. Though while I'm talking about it, should I be concerned about a failing oil pump? I know the 6g72s are known for developing lift tick, but I don't know if its because of the lash adjusters themselves or because there isn't enough oil pressure getting up top causing them to seize. Anyways, since I got it for so cheap I'm toying with the idea of dropping a 4m40 in.
I live in Portland so a decent market for mitsu import diesels and Canada is relatively close by if I need to source from there. Did Canada get LHD diesel pajeros? If I have to use a RHD 4m40, how much do I have to change to make it fit? I'm assuming fuel lines for sure. Starter location? Pulleys?
