Gen 3 Longevity?

I think a Gen 3 is going to be the best bet for my family situation and use cases. Most of the examples around here are 150k plus. Beyond the general desire for a history of timely maintenance, typical used car checks, and timing belt changes, are high-mileage Gen 3s reasonably reliable? IMO they seem pretty cheap for what you get, and I don't mind putting in a few thousand on top of purchase price to ensure reliability.

I've had no issues with my '05. Routine maintenance, tires, shocks, springs (upgraded to OME), brakes. I bought it with ~75K on the clock. Did the timing belt kit @ ~90K. Owned it for a little more than 5 years. ~145K on it now. Planing to do the timing belt again (spring '17). And planning on tires again soon - before snow - going with 285/75R16 BFG T/A AT KO2.

Both of mine are over 150k. My 06 is 192k. Have done nothing more than oil changes and brakes. Need to do the timing belts on both at some point though. Oh the 06 got catalytic converters.

Zero maintenance history on either. Owned the 06 about a year and the 03 9 mos.
