If you are going that deep you should replace the seals where the injector fits into the manifold. Those are a prime candidate for unmetered air leaking into cylinders.

Alright, so I have been working on the montero little by little. I have been caught up with school and exams. Anyways, so far I have replaced the valve cover gaskets and removed the fuel rails. I had a little mishap with the valve cover that pushed me back a little, I ended up tightening it way too much and created a giant hole where the nut goes into. After this, I bought an inch-pound torque wrench and got another valve cover (OEM) from eBay. I then replaced both gaskets with the correct torque (30-35 inch-pounds). I removed the fuel rails and fuel spouted down into my engine bay, good thing it evaporates quickly. Now I have a burden, I want to get my fuel injectors cleaned with one of those ultrasonic flow things, and I found I have a few options. I see that there are services on eBay that do it, where you send the injectors in (various price ranges). Or there is a shop that is 45 minutes from me that will clean the injectors but at $25 a pop. One of the eBay services is $8.50 a fuel injector which is really good, and they have good feedback as well have serviced over 1600 peoples fuel injectors. The other one I am scoping out is a service that costs $20 a fuel injector but they provide flow reports and data. This user has there own public shop, unlike the other person. That $8.50/injector service is hard to beat but seems kind of dodgy and provides no data. Also, in the description, it basically says that they can't tell if an injector is faulty or not... which kind of worries me, I don't want to put a failing injector back in. I'll put the links of both down below, any insight would be appreciated!

I’d only add that they’re cheap to ship so if you could get a better price far away, do it.
