I need to replace the power steering pressure line on a 89 V6 Montero, but have been running into brick walls. I pulled the whole pump/reservoir/lines off a 91 V6 model and went to install them but the line ends have a different flare and size. I then pulled a steering box off a 91 so it would match the lines, and the mounting plate is different, so it won't actually bolt to my frame. The only pre-89 Montero I could find locally was a SWB 4-cylinder and the whole pump/lines/reservoir were completely different than the pre-89 V6 and post-89 V6. I decided to just put my old steering box back on and buy a replacement pressure line from Rockauto, but the line they show is just the rubber section that ends in the banjo fitting on the pump, so it threads onto the hardline that runs to the box. My line is not a 2-piece, it doesn't separate where the others show a threaded end. Does anyone know where I can buy the whole lines from pump to steering box, or buy the hardline half so I can thread on a new rubber half?
