Gen1 stock winch

Does anyone have a pic of the elusive Gen1 stock winch. And know how it bolts on to a stock front end or did it require a special bumper (I would assume).

It bolts in between the frame rails, the drive shaft runs straight back to the PTO gear. They were equipped on the rest of the worlds manual transmission Pajeros. Our Monteros have the place to install the PTO but our T cases lack the gear to power it. PTO engages In the N range on the transfer case.

Adventure Driven Design has winch plates to install an electric or hydraulic winch to the factory location.

PTO? That's magical. They didn't think PTO was necessary in the US at the time? Or just cheaper to produce a smaller/different transfer case?
