First we bedlinered the rack today:

Hmm, a "little bit" went on the grass:

Then we picked up the rtt:

Where`s the scary load thread? :Wow1:

Then we put on the rack:

Then we realized that we can`t use the ladder. So we had to find a solution:

Got some work done yesterday. Since there`s only one weekend left till our trip we made a to do list:

First we made a mount for the cb antenna:

But we just couldn`t get the right swr, so we moved it to the upper crossmember of the rack. No pics of that, just one of him drilling holes:

Then we bought some wood for the rear storage system. We have 3 big cars and a small one. Which one would you take to get the big sheets of wood? Your right, we took the small one... :yikes: (where`s the "me stupid" smilie?)

Yes

I have enjoyed reading your build thread. I think you guys have some skills and just wish I had the talent, tools, and confidence to build as you all have. Good work.

I was born in Heidelberg and recently went back to visit last year. Great country and great town. I would like to spend some more time there taking in the culture.

What types of driving/ terrain are you guys planning on using this rig on? How far will you be traveling?

What was the large black tank in the rear of the truck before you covered it up with the ply board and anti slip mat?

Hi,
if you want to visit germany again, you'd be welcome to stay in my house...

We'll be driving around europe, nothing hardcore, just some very, very bad roads and some rocks in the alps. Next trip will be to italy to a pass from the first world war.

The tank in the back is from the propane system. It makes driving here a bit more affordable, since we pay around 10$/gallon...:Wow1:

I am reading, I just can't read your to-do list!

Are those the rear tires in the back seat?

Nice build! Looks great so far, definitely digging the Boggers!!!
Quick question though, what's the gigantic cylinder in the back? Is it propane powered?
