German Nato Fuel Cans

So I found this deal on Ebay for these cans, and because I use a super Siphon i wouldnt need a spout to fit, but I am wondering what I will do if i ever need to replace the seal.

Anyone have a source, or know of a way of finding some?

I can't help you with seal replacement, but I have a few of those cans and they are very well made. When I purchased mine, I believe they said they were Israeli cans. I think all German cans used standard size NATO mouths.

i think those gaskets are for standard size nato can mouths, the ones i have are larger and centered on the can rather than offset.

Oops, you're right. I just ordered 4 cans after seeing this thread. I might not have if I'd noticed that. Deutshe Optik has the regular small mouth cans but they cost twice as much. I did a google search of israeli jerry cans and they all showed up with the standard NATO spout.

Not sure but Old Grouch Surplus might have something to fit those larger-than-Nato cans.

I guess you just didn't understand what I have...look how big the spout is...it is MUCH LARGER than a WEDCO can, notice it is centered:

The wide spout looks like the spout on a 10L French military surplus "Wine" can that I once purchased from Sportsman's Guide. Could it be that it's a water can?

supposedly the french cans have the offset spout that is smaller but a different shape than the nato cans. This can doesnt have a "liner" in it for water, but I'm not sure how to know if there is a liner or not.
