Getting more front legroom in my 80 LC? And an armrest?!

OK, I'm liking my 80-Series more and more, but one thing I do find is that the legroom in the front is a little lacking. I know in (whispers) LR Defender's you can unbolt and move the seat rails back a bit to gain an inch or so, which is all I need for all-day comfort. Is there a similar modification that can be made to my 80 Series?

Also, on the subject of comfort, I would really like a centre armrest (or independent driver/passenger armrests), something I really miss from my Range Rover's; is there an OE or aftermarket item available, presumably for the lid of the centre cubby box? Any recommendations welcome!

Thanks

Check out IH8MUD.com. A poster there sells brackets to give another inch or so of legroom. I think it is "Landtank", but might be somebody else. I seem to recall there were also threads about armrest solutions, although I don't recall any particularly elegant ones.

I have custom seat bracket extensions in mine. As for the arm rest, some 80s have a double lid type console with leather on the top which should be pretty easy to source. I happen to have a single lid with a tray area, but my brother has the other.
