Give me some advice on how to drill the frame

If you can clamp the pieces to the frame so you're drilling through the hole in the sliders & your bit won't wander, a single flute cutter in a right angle air drill will make very short work of the frame. It's perfect for tight spaces.

...and times eleventybillion on the Drill Doctor. I've bought plenty of bits dull from the store and then wondered why they cut funny.

I test-fit the left one to the frame yesterday. It's not a glove-like fit, but I was planning on bolting the two existing-hole mounts and clamping what I could, followed by a center-punch where applicable.

Does everyone agree that I should use the slider holes as guides and drill the frame with the sliders fit up?

I'll try to pick up a step drill and tap this weekend. Can I just stick to WD40 or gun oil for lube?

Should I use acetone on the frame or will that eat the paint? Rubbing alcohol?
