Glamping in Big Bear and ORE

FishPOET

Adventurer
There was a bunch of glamping going on in Big Bear this weekend and we shared in the fun. Our Adopt-A-Trail club celebrated another 2000+ hour volunteered year with a weekend on the lake. We rode jet skis and kayaks. We had a big BBQ. We visited Oktoberfest.

That's a gorgeous sunset! The Adventureduo look quite happy with their Trasharoo, but where's Dixie?

x2 on the sunset! Maybe Dixie's in one of the Roos? IIRC from last year, no pups allowed in the vendor area.

I've never:

a) had a deep fried Oreo before, now I get it :)

b) been this close to the Big Bear Solar Observatory except on a boat - very cool!

I had no idea there was an off road expo in Big Bear. That is new since I left. If anyone ever wants representation, I have free lodging with my parents and always can use an excuse to visit... thanks for sharing.

Excelsior!
Thanks for all of the photos Doug! I've only been to one offroad expo at Pomona and got to drive an FJ Cruiser on the little offroad course back when the Trail Teams were scampering about the country.
