I found these stackable workbench drawers which look to be reasonably robust and relatively cheap for an off-the-shelf vehicle drawer solution:

• HL242266GY (12" high) is $83.95 plus $19.03 shipping.
• HL242267GY (6" high) is $59.95 plus $17.65 shipping.

I have no idea how much they weigh other than more than a plastic Sterilite drawer!
