I bought one of these today. I stopped on the way home and put a box of shells through it. So far I really like. Do any of you guys have one of these? What do you think.

I've had my Glock 21C (.45 ACP factory compensated) for 10 years now and still love it! I'm actually looking at a 9mm for my wife.

congrats on your weapon, cant beat a glock:ylsmoke:

Yes you can.

Not that they are not great weapons, they are, it is just that they are not the end all be all that everyone thinks they are.

To the OP nice choice and congrats.

i like my G19, shoots pretty good, a bit snappy recoil with 115gr WWB, going to try some cor-bon 147gr fmj match ammo next time out to see if that doesn't scare the gf.

i have a couple 15rd mags with the +2 floorplate more or less to make it easier to load 15 in them.

The G19 is the pistol that fits the best in my hand and never has a problem. Very low maintenence pistol. Also very concealable.

A couple years ago I wanted to try a 10mm,so I bought the glock 20. I had never fired a glock before. Have sigs, ed browns.. , they all will do the job. But if I needed to use one, Id grab the glock. It's the most comfortable for my mitts. :coffee:

Nice pick up. I have both a 19 and 23 for off duty work and they are comfortable to carry and easy to maintain.

You may run into some people at the range "informing" you that Glocks (especially the 19 and 23 with the shorter barrel and grip) are inherently less accurate than their (insert whatever wonder gun they speak of). Don't buy into it. These guns are reliable and can be as accurate as the shooter - within limits. They do not match my more specialized 1911 but then again, they do not need to. They are purpose built and are designed to be used.

Anyway, have fun, and practice, practice, practice! :victory:

Run several version of Glocks. Great guns, probably have 20,000 through our 2 G34s (9mm) in last 2 years. Have yet to have a jam. Mostly lead handloads. Not sure if someone mentioned earlier but a mag loader is your friend. I have about 30 mags for those 2 and I will load them all before a match. It suck but so does constantly reloading mags on the range. Just one more money pit...woohoo!!
Enjoy.

I'd agree with this too. I tried several other versions and calibers and finally ended up with the Glock 19C with the ported barrel.

Between me and a few buddies who were all looking for new weapons, we rented almost every version and caliber. Sure a larger caliber might be able to stop something with less rounds, but that's only if you can hit the target consistently. I have a .40 cal pistol, and can not consistently hit the bullseye with that gun. Forget a double tap due to the recoil

For me, the Glock 19C was the perfect pistol. I can double tap bullseyes all day long from 15yards, its easily concealable and lighter than the other models with larger calibers. I've now owned mine for over 5 years and have never had a single jam...no matter what type of round I'm putting through it.

I have a few other pistols and all have had issues with reloads when bought in bulk for target practice. The Glock can put ANYTHING down its chamber and cycle through a magazine

Great all around gun!!
