GM's impressive new 6.2L V8

Wheels vs crank figures...I don't know if is 420 at 2k, but still more at the crank without driveline loss. I'm not endorsing the ecoboost, just offering thoughts about the numbers.

Still, calculating 18% drivetrain loss, is still 345, which is still 45 HP off the 420 number. Not even close in my book.

I have driven all three, ecoboost, 5.0 and 6.2 and can say without a doubt the ecoboost cannot compare to the down low grunt of the v8s
 
I have also driven the ecoboost. I was less than impressed. Towing a 16ft enclosed tandem axle trailer with one Yamaha Rhino, and camping gear loaded in it. It was waay underpowered. Struggled on climbs. And got crappy mileage. It is my neighbors truck. And I was very happy to be able to return the keys!! Our old 04' F150 SuperCrew with the 5.4triton would tow circles around that thing.
