My neighbors 6.0 2500 suburban has one too.
I'm finding that the GMT800 crowd is pretty resourceful and not into all the crap the Jeep, Rover and Yota guys are into
Sorry if I missed something- not on here much recently-
I was looking into this back in the day and ended up going with a Ford gas tank rather than the 8.1's. You get a full 8-9 more gallons (18-20 gallon tank), which made it worth it for me. I just posted about it in another thread, but here's the writeup in my buld thread from a bit ago. Hope it helps and looks like you are going down the right track!

Did this ever go anywhere? Anyone check to see if it works in the Tahoe? Here's some pics I found online. The secondary tank has its own pump that triggers when the main tank gets to a certain level. Supposedly 11 gallons from what I have read but I'm not 100% sure on that.

I'd love to fine one in the wrecking yard and pull it to check fitment. That would be cool if it fit in a Tahoe.
That rack design is SICK ive been looking everywhere for a design like this. I even was about to learn cad to design it myself...Good luck with the skid plate. Interested to see that develop.
A body lift would give tons of room back there for sure.
Any closeup pics of your brackets?
I've been working on some in CAD. I laser scanned my roof and started working on a rack model.

Bump!StomperXJ those roof rack brackets you designed in CAD look great. You gonna make them? I wouldn't mind trying to put something like that on my own rig, probably would get my roof rack an inch or so lower to the roof and look better too.
Awesome. If you get time to post up the results I'd love to see. They are bent up. Just need to drill a few holes. I might have time this weekend to test fit. Been swamped lately
