GMT800 Suburban/Tahoe Bumper Options

Hey gang,
I just picked up another Suburban (this time a Z71) and need to replace the bumper but having trouble finding "reasonably priced" options out there to replace the rusty and broken one on it. The local salvage yards don't have anything and OE replacements on eBay are around $600, which at that price has got me looking for something more robust (that I can mount a winch in). So far, everything I've found so far is in the $1500+ range, which is tough to justify on a truck I just paid $4000 for. Any suggestions on a decent aftermarket option, or should I just get the OE replacement?

Your bumper looks like it's in good shape. I'd just prep and paint. I did install a new top trim, but rusted bumper looks great now.

I think it's going to be impossible to find a quality bumper for under $1500, and there is not a huge demand for bumpers on these older vehicles. That being said, Baseline Overland makes/ supplies a variety of products for these hard to outfit vehicles including this 2000-2006 Chevy Tahoe/ Suburban Winch Bumper. It is low profile and acoomodates a 12K LB Winch and lots of lights. This one does require cutting the front frame extensions off and some models require drilling a hole in the frame, but I think most have the upper hole present.

I get the difficulty installing "expensive" things on an old truck that isn't worht that much. I bit the bullet though. I'm going to drive mine for a very long time and replace/ upgrade things as they wear out rather than spending tons on newer vehicle that I would be nervous to scratch and still wanting to spend thousands to outfit.
