Yep definitely. Is there a good site that u guys know of where I can get all the specs on the axle, gear ratios, etc.. On my truck?

Nice 4Runner! Will make for a great rig.

You have 3.73 ratio in the back. You can run 33's with that and not notice a change at all. I had an 07 4th gen and ran 255/85s on 7.5 wide rims it was a perfect combo

Shrockworks makes the best sliders, imo, ARB makes the best front bumper. I had Icon coil overs on the front, and OME Sports shocks in the back. Also the FJC LCAs, UCAs and skid plates all work on the 4th gen.

Here is a pic of mine a few weeks before I sunk it.

Thanks, did all the v8 4runners come with 3.73 ratio? Awesome truck, that's what I'd like mine to look like soon. How did u sink it? I'll probably build my own stuff, not sure yet. What lift do you have in that picture?

I went from a 98 ford expedition to a 98 4runner rear locker v6 auto. Yes it is smaller, but so are most single family homes. We trimmed down our trail gear a bit, with out tossing anything important. It is a world of difference. We can access SO much more trail. To narrow, not any more. To rugged, nahh. We do more single day runs than Expedition, but I built a shelf/sleeping platform that helps. I wanted a smaller rig, to get into some of those tiny shelf road accessible area in Colorado, so LC 100's were never in the picture for me. I was getting 22 mpg on stock tires. Went to 285/75's and am now getting 18. Still better than Expedition at 14.5 down hill.

Yea after having all suburbans the 4runners seem fairly small but I do feel like the 4th gen was a food compromise since it feels bigger than the 3rd gens. We had a lot of situations in the suburban where we're too big or too heavy, it will be nice to have a few ore options.

By as new as possible. You should be able to get into a 4th gen 4runner.
Yea that's what I was able to do. Why do u say buy as new as possible? Just curious because most people don't seem to usually seem to try and go super new with an expo rig.
