05 wo a factory hitch. Is there any way to tell if these came pre wired for a hitch setup? Just trying to figure if I'm going to have to hard wire this if I buy it. From looking around there is no plug in harness if it did not come prewired from the factory.
Well, that looks like a hard wire system and that's fine but a pia. The hitch I already have an idea about but the only wiring I can find is hard wire or plug into the prewire factory system. Was wondering if Toyota sent them out with a prewire for dealer installed hitches.
Don't know if you've addressed this yet but I added a tow package to my '03. It was pre-wired to a plug on the driver side rear frame rail. You can buy the pigtail adapter that plugs in, bolt on your hitch and be done with it.
