Honestly if you're not looking for the last word in precision the HF torque wrenches are good value for money. They aren't nice in the hand, but they are cheap and third-party testing has found them as accurate as any of the other 'consumer grade' stuff like Craftsman. And lets face it, Craftsman isn't what it was 20 years ago. Not by a long shot. But any of them should be good enough for 95% of your average work.
If you really want to talk tools head over to garagejournal.com and you'll find more tool talk than you can handle. Lots of pro mechanics there who have tons of real-world experience with the best stuff available as well as hobbyists and hard-core amateurs who have to make every dollar count.
Myself I have an older Craftsman 1/2" clicker as well as a full set of HF clickers in 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2". At a sale price of about $10/ea, I couldn't pass them up.
