Hello Land Rover board,

We are in need of a local Southern California Defender 110 for cargo measurements. If you are in SoCal and can let us check out your rig for a few we would love to talk to you. We have an out of state customer that would like something built and we just need some measurements, this is not a solicitation to sell Defender storage. Right now we don't even have anything we could sell specific to a Defender. We absolutely love ExPo but are not an official forum sponsor as of right now so if you are interested please email us at media@goose-gear.com for more information.

Thank you,

Brian

cant help you with your request, but I was wondering if you guys have gotten around to anything made for the LR3/4? I asked back at ExpoWest and you guys said that maybe if there was enough interest. Mahalo and good luck with your Defender project.

We currently have a plate system and module options for the LR4, but there are a few things to consider, like access to the spare tire removal point which is under the third row of seats and under our plate which is possible but requires some ingenuity. They are not on the site so give us a call. We are not 100% certain if there are a lot of changes to the LR3 but the LR3 is not on the radar right now but maybe in the future. Thank you.

Aloha and thanks for the reply! I'm not concerned with the spare since I have it mounted on a rear bumper swingout :) I'll be giving you all a call very shortly to hear what you have!

Some guys in the UK figured out you can use a 22mm socket and a skinny socket extension fits permanentlyd between the two jump seats folded down. That way if they had drawer systems or storage all they had to do was cut a circular hole in the floor of said system so that you can just snap a 1/2" or 3/8" drive ratchet into the extension and turn, lowering the tire without having to take everything apart.

I just removed the spare-- I don't yet have the goosegear setup. Perhaps they'll add a basic spare tire carrier add on.

Just remember that D90's and D110's are never square on the interior. The last D90 we worked on was out of square by 1/4" plus, and that's the short box version. They also seem to vary based on what day they were built.
