I have some GPS trackers from Lcation Based Technologies. We used them to track our fleet vehicles and comm. equipment on well sites. Could be useful in the event an expensive 4x4 gets stolen or if you want to keep track of a teen driver, it will do Geo fencing and mph warnings to your phone or email.

Interesting. No details on the subscription cost, though. Curious how it compares in total cost to the SPOT equivalent.

15.95/month, no contract. They use AT&Ts network for data transmission, that's the main difference from a SPOT tracker. We used them in some extremely remote areas and never had a problem tracking rig moves and vehicles. Mainly because they move in to and out of service, so you end up with bread crumbs, even in areas that have limited cell coverage.

Make me an offer if you're interested! I don't have a use for them anymore.
