GPS Mount-Jeep and Tacoma

Good evening everyone and welcome from the snowy Adirondacks. Recently purchase a Garmin 60 CSX, love the unit, but am having trouble finding a multiple mount for both my Jeep and Tacoma. Ordered the RAM mount but find that there is no open space on the dash/radio/face pates in the jeep, and I dont really want to mount the unit "high" on the dash due to decreasing vision out an already gun turret like windshield. Anyone seen anything that would work in both units, has a rotatable face that is as tough as the RAM? I might have to give up the cup holder for a holder but would rather not. Thanks, any pointers to alternatives would be appreciated. Searched the Tacoma installs and might go to the Garmin factory unit like I have seen, with the suction cup sticking onto the dash, letting the unit hang down onto the dash, not sure if that will work in the jeep, but just realized it is another option.

You can try Pro Fit Intl. Pretty solid mount for the Tacoma. Not sure about the Jeep though.

Another option is proclipusa. I have one for the Tacoma but I'm going to switch to the Pro Fit. Pro clip uses a wedge tactic where it gets wedged between dash panels. The Pro Fit uses factory located screws to secure the mount.

These are vehicle specific mounts so you could just transfer the Garmin between vehcles while the mount stays. A little more expensive this way but very functional.

I just noticed that there is not a mount from Pro Fit For your Commander..They may have one in production though so an email to them may provide some results.

Hope this helps

Justin-thanks for the info. The Profit is what I had in my saab, and couldnt remember who made it. That would work in one of the slots on the jeep, facing sideways and down.
