GPS Mounting Ideas

A while back I came across a tread regarding GPS antennas and mounting them. I found the tread useful and thought I would pass along my solution.

Garmin GPS Antenna - $31.95
Ram Mount Bar Mount – $16.95
Ram Mount Short Arm – $25.00
Ram Mount Round Base – $10.00
Velcro - $1.59
Zip Ties – Free (Who doesn't have those around?)
Total Cost - $85.49

Interesting, never thought of using a Ram-mount for a external application. Wonder how it will do in the weather. Please keep us posted.

Question: why use a RAM mount for the antenna? A flat surface not available?
