Great iPhone/iTouch app for photographers

I just found the coolest photography application for the iPhone/iTouch: PhotoCalc. It calculates all of those impossibly hard to remember calculations for photography, including depth of field, flash exposure, sunrise and sunset calculators, and exposure reciprocation, as well as a bunch of reference material. Its a pretty good use of $3. Now I just have to remember to use it...

There is another one I use sort of like that. It's called Dr DOF. It's really cool because you can build a camera bag with your paticular bodies and lenses. Seems to me much more accurate than some of the others however they charge you for it.

Very cool! One question however, for the DOF calculations, does the app ask you what the sensor/film size is that you're using, or does it assume a certain film/sensor size? I only ask because if you're shooting say, 120 film, the app would be kinda useless for DOF calulations if it assumes you are using an APS-C or 35mm sized sensor/film.

For PhotoCalc, you have to set your camera and lens. I am sure DrDOF is the same.

I don't think so. It seems to be set up mostly for the popular size digital stuff.

thumbnail size, crop size and full frame.

I bought DrDOF as well. It does not have a 12x20 option. PhotoCalc does not either. It has 6x6, 6x7, 6x9, 4x5, 5x7 and 8x10 film sizes as well as a bunch of cinema film sizes, but no 12x20. I'll bet if you e-mailed the author, he would add that size in the next update.
