Group 31 dual battery tray for 100 series?

Has anyone managed to fit a group 31 under the hood as an auxiliary battery? If so, what tray did you use? Slee seems to be the only one that makes a dual battery tray, but it only fits a group 34. I live in Las Vegas where it tops out at nearly 1 million degrees F in the summer and I work 24 hour shifts. My fridge gives my battery a workout sometimes, so the extra amp hours would be beneficial. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

Check the first couple of pages of my build. I built my own tray for a group 65 and have a group 31 in my factory location but when I was building it I also confirmed there is enough space to fit a group 31 but it would be very close to the hood.

I now have rerouted my wiring and the group 65 is my starting battery and group 31 is my house battery. Good luck with your search.

I have fit the 31 on mine with a custom tray but the battery had to lay on its side. If you want to do it it can be done, build your self a box out of cardboard the exact dimensions of the group 31 and use the for mock up. (Much easier than lifting a 75+lb battery in and out!)

That is definitely an option I've been considering. Nice build too!!

I forget that you can lay those batteries on their side. Do you have any pics of your tray? I like the tip about building the battery box out of cardboard too.
